Change is in the air at NIC4, which has recently undergone a corporate name change to Network Innovations U.S. Government. On the heels of this exciting announcement, we sat down with CEO Chad Gatlin for his thoughts on what this change means to his team and the company's future.
It's been over four weeks since the announcement, and the dust has settled enough for us to dig deeper into this strategic move that aligns the company with its global parent brand. So, let's dive right in!
Q: NIC4 Inc. has recently undergone a name change and is now known as Network Innovations U.S. Government. What inspired this transformation, and what's the story behind it?
A: It’s important to note that we have always been the U.S. Government facing subsidiary of Network Innovations, always had access to their resources and support, and always shared the same values and commitment in providing always-available communications solutions.
With the ever-changing landscape of the satellite communications industry, we have evolved into offering innovative network transport capabilities, such as hybrid networks between LEO, MEO, and GEO constellations, and new innovations in the satellite constellations themselves. We felt it was necessary to present our corporate brand as the “Innovative Network” team to bring these new capabilities to our customer base.
With that said, we felt that it was time for our company name to reflect the partnership with Network Innovations more closely. We wanted to make it clear to our clients that we are part of a larger organization, dedicated to delivering the best possible connectivity solutions to the U.S. Government and its agencies. So, after careful consideration and consultation with our team and leadership, we made the decision to change our name to Network Innovations U.S. Government.
This new name accurately reflects our tight-knit connection to the Network Innovations brand and all the support it brings to the table.
Q: Will operations change, both in the short term and the long term?
A: No, it’s business as usual. Our primary focus as a communications integrator and network aggregator remains the same – providing responsive, secure, and mission-centric solutions to our clients. The name change won’t impact this.
Q: What sets Network Innovations U.S. Government apart from other communications integrators in the market?
A: It’s our people. We have an amazing team of professionals who are experienced, dedicated, and always willing to go the extra mile to deliver the best possible connectivity solutions. What really makes our team stand out is their agile mindset when it comes to tackling each client's unique challenges. We don't believe in a one-size-fits-all approach. That's why we work closely with our customers to understand their requirements and provide tailored solutions that meet their specific needs.
We're truly honored to have earned the trust of our customers, and we're proud of the work we do in helping them conduct some of the most important work on the planet.
Q: Can you leave us with any information on upcoming projects or initiatives that the team is working on?
A: We are focused on delivering the multi-transport network aggregation solutions that our customers demand. This is a very exciting time in the government and space industry, with many more exciting network innovations and technologies being capable of delivering agile, efficient, and secure networks to our customers that demand the capability. NIUSG is excited to be a part of this ever-changing landscape and bringing the solutions that allow our customers to be successful with their global missions.
